Welcome to the Rochester Water Garden Society. We are pleased you found us. We always like to meet our fellow pond enthusiasts.
The Rochester Water Garden Society was established in September of 2009. Our group was designed to promote the water gardening industry, educate members on their water features, answer questions and create a support system to help with problems, create an environment for members to swap plants and fish, and have some fun talking about a subject we are passionate about. This pond and koi club is designed for everyone who loves water. It doesn't matter if you are just beginning or if you are extremely advanced.
The Rochester Water Garden Society is currently being facilitated by Melissa and Sean Radomski, owners of Sunkissed Aquatics Inc. However, as our group continues to grow, we would like to bring in additional educational speakers and talent to share their stories and passion within the water garden industry. Topics covered will include the basics such as maintaining a balanced ecosystem, pond headaches, plants and fish (including rare ones that are hardy for this area), water conservation and ecology, as well as unique waterfeatures and how to make waterfeatures using alternative materials. The club isn't just about ponds and koi, we will encompass modern waterfeatures as well including rain barrels. The topics we cover are for the novice beginner to the expert in the field. Information is always given out during meetings and dessert is always provided! There is a small fee of $25 per family per year to cover the cost of materials and refreshments.
If you are interested in finding out more information, you can contact us via the website, by phone, of you can attend a meeting. Meeting information is available on the website. Thanks for stopping by!
